JOB SUMMARY |
As an Accountant at Rive & Co, you will be responsible for managing the organization’s financial records and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. This includes handling day-to-day accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with the Partners and Administrator to ensure proper budgeting, tax filing, and financial analysis to support decision-making. |
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
– Maintain accurate financial records such as journal entries, ledgers, and financial statements. – Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and ensure timely submissions. – Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. – Manage accounts payable and receivable and reconcile discrepancies. – Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow. |
CRITERIA |
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax filings.Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. |

– Develop and implement financial strategies in line with organizational goals. – Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes. – Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting. – Monitor and report on budget variances, providing insights and recommendations. – Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations. – Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. – Manage and optimize the organization’s cash flow. – Monitor working capital and liquidity to support day-to-day operations. – Identify and assess financial risks. – Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements. – Collaborate with auditors to facilitate external audits. – Supervise and mentor finance and accounting teams. – Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. – Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making. – Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term financial planning. – Implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency. – Analyze cost structures and recommend improvements. – Ensure the integrity and security of financial data. – Send weekly and monthly updates on the financial position of the firm. – Review monthly budgets and make adjustments every quarter. |
