As of 1/09/2025, the following High, Regional, &District Courts in Zanzibar will operate from new locations. This is a significant change, and our firm is prepared to guide you through any procedural adjustments required for your ongoing cases.
Key Relocations and Their Impact
- High Court and District Court (Mjini): All matters previously handled at the Vuga and Mjini locations are moving to the new High Court and District Court building in Mazizini, near the ZRA building.
- Western Region Court B: This court is relocating from Vuga and Mjini to its new facility in Kisakaskasa.
- Western Region Court A: The court previously at Vuga and Mjini is now relocated to Mwera.
- Southern Region Court (Unguja): The courts previously located at Vuga and Mjini are being consolidated and will operate from a new facility in Lilopo Tuonguu.
- Northern Region Court (Unguja): The court in Mahonda is moving to the new building in Lilopo Kiongele (Mkwajuni).
- Northern Region District Court A: The court from Gamba is also relocating to the new facility in Lilopo Kiongele.
